Artificial sweeteners may keep the drink calorie-free, but they can actually trick your body into craving more sweets and feeling hungry when you are really not! Switch to water, or stick to one regular can of diet soda a day to minimize the damage.

Sleeping more on weekends....

If you stay up really late on Friday or Saturday, thinking that sleeping in will reverse the damage, you are totally wrong!

Sleeping more on weekends confuses your body and makes it harder to sleep the next night! This cycle leaves you cranky - and may even trigger hormones that make you overeat and gain weight.

So... Do sleep early and wake up early ya? Don't sleep in too much.

Earphones...

Do you experience ringing in your ears or another symptom of hearing loss after using earphones? Protect yourself by keeping music at half the volume and using earphones only when you have to. And when you do wear them, minimise the damage by using the ones that cover your whole ear. Those tiny earbuds shoot the sound into your ear canal, which is even worse...

Take good care of your ears ya?
