How to post flash animations and videos

From time to time, some of you may want to post videos and flash animations. Here's how to make the posting easy.

Step 1: Go to "Post a new topic", "Post a reply" or "Quick reply"

Step 2: When you are in the advanced post editor for "Post a new topic" or "Post a reply", click on the the "Insert Flash" icon.

Step 3: Enter the desired width & height of your video you want to post, followed by the video's url in the link box. Click on "Ok"

Alternatively for steps 2 & 3, you can type in the following 2 codes:

If you are using You-tube video

Code:

[youtube]you-tube_url[/youtube]

Or if you're posting either from You-tube or other video/Flash sources, use this

Code:

[flash(width,height)]video_url[/flash]

The recommended width and height to set is (425,344).

Please take note of the following:
When you are using the flash code for You-tube videos, please edit as described.

Original You-Tube url as copied from address bar:

Edit to

Code:

http://www.youtube.com/v/S5x_siCn4cs

So you'll end up with

Step 4: Click on "Preview" to preview your posting. Once you are satisfied, click on "Send" to post.
